Cheaha State Park in the Fall!
Mt. Cheaha State Park, Alabama! We are back in Alabama! We decided to revisit one of our favorite spots! Mt. Cheaha State Park! I wrote a blog post about it HERE back in August. The fall colors are starting to shine through now and the park was packed with people wanting to look out over the valley to see the fall beauty! Cheaha State Park offers a unique opportunity for home school families. Along the trail there are numerous information kiosks that identify geophysical and biological features of the area. Adams Canyon, Utah
While in beautiful Utah we took our first family hike on a trail called The Adams Canyon Trail. What we thought was going to be a 3 hour 3.5 mile there and back trail ended up being a 6 hour 7 mile trail there and back. The trail was pretty strenuous and a little scary in spots… there were sharp drop offs and steep, rocky climbs… both up and down the mountain. Overall we really enjoyed the hike and beautiful scenery. The next day Patrick and I were super sore, but the kids were hopping around just fine. We can’t wait to do some more trails!
