Naturally, being from Texas, we are curious about the Amish lifestyle and want to know more about them! This month The Old Schoolhouse Magazine November Issue has a few great articles about the Amish way of life. One article that had me hooked was A Day in the Life of a Young Amish Mom. Jack Daniel’s Distillery Lynchburg, TN
This summer we were close enough to the Jack Daniel’s Distillery to stop in for a tour. The tours are free and run approximately 40 minutes. Our guide was knowledgable and witty and we had a fantastic time. We walked up and down stairs, through hallways and tunnels, in and out of buildings. The smell was fantastic through the whole tour. Yes, I said the SMELL! It smelled like roasted sweet corn. While neither one of us drink whiskey we really enjoyed the tour!

Pumpkin Pie Popsicles! 2 WW PP each!
Pumpkin Pie Popsicles! I was walking around my favorite store: IKEA. I came across these cute popsicle molds (below). I have never made home-made popsicle so when I got home I decided to see what I could mix together to make some with. I found pumpkin and a few other ingredients. With the weather getting cooler I thought this MIGHT be a good idea! I mixed the ingredients and cooked them. Before I could pour it into molds the kids were already in the kitchen wondering what smelled so good and wanted to try it. Turns out even the unfrozen juice is delicious and taste like autumn! I figure making…
