    Fruity Pebbles Marshmallow Treats

    January 2, 2013 / 2 Comments

Fruity Pebbles Marshmallow Treats Ingredients: 6 cups Fruity Pebbles Cereal 5 1/2 cups Jet-Puffed Marshmallows 5 Tbsp BUTTER (Real butter not Margarine) Instructions: In a large pot on very low heat melt the butter. Allow butter to turn slightly caramel colored with a strong nutty aroma. Add marshmallows and stir, stir, stir until completely melted. Don’t allow to burn. Take off burner and add in cereal. Mix well. Turn out into a pan lined with parchment paper. I used my 9×9 stoneware, but any pan with sides will do. Allow to cool and cut up into squares! ENJOY! Yuuummm… the kids love these!

Russian Tea Cakes a.k.a Mexican Wedding Cookies!

    December 30, 2012 / No Comments

This year I had the opportunity to do a little cookie baking with my sisters who are usually away at college. It was great! I love spending time with them and spending time in the kitchen is a bonus! When I was a kid my grandmother used to make Mexican Wedding Cookies every year at Christmas. Since she passed away there haven’t been any made. This year we found her old cookbooks and what we think was her “secret” recipe! We took a leap of faith and used the old, crumpled, well used recipe. It worked! The cookies only have THREE INGREDIENTS and are SUPER tasty and easy to make!…

This one is super EASY and a sure-fire crowd pleaser!  Ingredients: Any fruit you can find! I used apples, kiwi, grapes, apple-pear, canned mandarin oranges, canned peaches, maraschino cherries, pineapple. Add 1 cup tiny marshmallows. Eat right away or allow to sit overnight! There is something about the tiny pockets of soft sweetness that we LOVE! This is low calorie and a healthy treat!

Pumpkin Pie Popsicles! 2 WW PP each!

    September 19, 2012 / 2 Comments

Pumpkin Pie Popsicles! I was walking around my favorite store: IKEA. I came across these cute popsicle molds (below). I have never made home-made popsicle so when I got home I decided to see what I could mix together to make some with. I found pumpkin and a few other ingredients. With the weather getting cooler I thought this MIGHT be a good idea! I mixed the ingredients and cooked them. Before I could pour it into molds the kids were already in the kitchen wondering what smelled so good and wanted to try it. Turns out even the unfrozen juice is delicious and taste like autumn! I figure making…

We’ve been everywhere! It has been a very busy last few months. I haven’t blogged since November so it is time to catch up! In November we headed west to California for about a month. We spent a couple of days in Quartzsite, Arizona… an RV mecca! We also got to meet up with the Mulac family of www.mulacfamilymarketers.com and we all went to a spaghetti dinner benefit for…
