Lions and tigers and bears… in Ft. Worth, TX

Owen and grant by the “big bomb”

Our trip to Ft. Worth, Texas was so that Patrick could complete some of his Air Force reserve commitment. The first few days we stayed at Cowtown RV Park in Aledo, TX. This RV Park is really nice. The sites are level for the most part and the facilities were great. We were treated to a DELICIOUS homemade dinner by the Montrose family. Keva is an amazing cook and it is always such a treat to eat there! Plus the boys know that she has yummy chocolate gelato in the freezer and are always ready to go to their house for dinner!

So cute!

We took our RV in for service for a few days so we moved into a hotel on the Military Base. While in the hotel the boys only brought their cars for toys. We went to the store and bought some masking tape for .50 cents and the boys spent hours making racetracks on the floor and walls of the hotel room. The boys liked seeing the jets fly over when they were outside, and they loved that the playground was right outside the porch door of the room.

Riding the train at the zoo

While in Ft. Worth we went with a friend to the Ft. Worth zoo. The zoo is nicely maintained and clean. Owen and grant got to see a lot of their favorite animals and ride a train back to the front gate. Now a few days later they are still talking about how cool it was to see the lion and kangaroo’s and ride the train. Hopefully next time it is warm enough to check out Burger’s lake and The Botanical gardens.
